Apex is currently seeking applicants for the following positions:



Project Manager
Location: Gold River, California

We are seeking a Project Manager for our Gold River office to manage existing projects as well as assist in acquistion of new clients and projects. Primary responsibilities of theis positon include:

• Conducting soil and groundwater site investigations;
• Implementation of remedial systems (SVE, air sparging, bioremediation, pump and treat, chemical oxidation)
• Analyzing data; and
• Preparing groundwater and soil vapor tests and reports.

Position requires BS (MS preferred) in geology, hydrogeology, or engineering, although qualified candidates with degrees in other environmental disciplines are encouraged to apply. Strong writing and communication skills are essential. Completion of 40-hour OSHA training for work on hazardous waste sites desired.

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years environmental consulting experience with at least one year of managing projects. Relevant experience in other environmental sciences will be considered.

Salary is negotiable and will be commensurate with education and experience.

STAFF GEOLOGIST/ENGINEER
Location: Gold River, California

We are seeking a Staff Geologist/Engineer for our Gold River office. Primary responsibilities of this position include:

• Report writing, compiling data,
• Field activities including logging of soil borings, data collection, groundwater tests and monitoring.
• QA/QC field data, and
• Permit applications.

Ideal candidate will have a BA (BS preferred) in geology, although candidates with degrees in other environmental disciplines are encouraged to apply. Good communication skills are essential and strong writing skills are highly desirable. Completion of 40-hour OSHA training for work on hazardous waste sites a plus.

This is a staff-level position, and we will consider and train an entry-level candidate with the specified education and desirable skills. Salary range for this position is $35,000 to $45,000 depending upon experience.

TECHNICIAN (2 positions)
Locations: Gold River and Turlock

We are seeking Technicians for both our Gold River and Turlock offices. Essential duties include:

• Groundwater well and soil sample collection;
• Remediation system operation and maintenance;
• Remediation system parameter monitoring and sampling;
• In-house equipment tracking and maintenance;
• Subcontractor oversight; and
• Assistance with report preparation.

Travel may be required.

Education/experience qualifications include AA degree from an accredited college/university or high school diploma and 1 to 2 years related experience. Requires strong analytical skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, exercise sound judgment, and manage time with minimal supervision; good verbal and written communication skills; good computer skills. Mechanical skills or ability essential; prefer prior construction or electrical experience.

This is an hourly position. Salary is negotiable and will be commensurate with skills and experience.

Additional Employment Information

Employment is contingent upon a driving record that does not reflect any of the following violations: driving under the influence or driving while impaired, reckless driving, and no more than two moving violations in the past three years.

Successful candidates will undergo and pass a medical surveillance examination. This includes a physical examination, medical history questionnaire, visual, audio, and respiratory testing, urine and blood chemistry, drug and alcohol testing, chest X-ray, and resting EKG. This will be scheduled your first week of employment.
