Staff Geologist
Our Kansas City Metro office offers a wide range of challenging project work, and a great opportunity to develop professionally. We are seeking a Staff Geologist to join the environmental team. This person will work on environmental projects with our experienced staff of environmental professionals.

Successful candidates must have experience in relevant environmental engineering, geology, or hydrogeology experience as described below. Primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Performing tasks and project assignments associated with environmental assessments, hydrogeological studies, subsurface investigations and remedial designs, remediation, and monitoring projects;
  • All manner of field work, including soil and groundwater sample collection and sample preparation for laboratory analysis;
  • Project deliverables including the preparation of soil boring logs, well construction diagrams, potentiometric surface maps, geologic cross sections, site sample and plume maps, work plans, and reports;
  • Working collaboratively with and supervising field and office staff;
  • Laboratory and hydrogeologic data management.

Requirements: A minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental consulting business, geology, or hydrogeology, environmental site assessment, subsurface investigation, and remediation projects, and the willingness to learn new skills.

This candidate will possess the following:

  • BS / MS degree in engineering, geology, or hydrogeology;
  • Future eligibility to achieve licensure (Registered Geologist);
  • Experience with Project site investigation and characterization, including drilling and environmental multi- media sampling techniques and procedures, data interpretation and evaluation, remedial alternatives evaluation and estimating, remediation design and oversight;
  • Experience at petroleum sites, RCRA facilities, LUST sites or industrial properties;
  • Experience interacting with State UST Cleanup programs, functioning as field staff, and working with subcontractors;
  • Experience in the preparation of technical reports, Phase I and Phase II proposals and cost estimates;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, positive attitude, and ability to work both independently and within groups; and
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER health and safety training;
  • Clean driving record and drug screening

Environmental Project Manager
Our corporate office in Gold River, California is seeking a Project Manager to manage existing projects as well as assist in acquisition of new clients and projects. Primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Conducting soil and groundwater site investigations;
  • Implementing remedial systems (SVE, air sparging, bioremediation, pump and treat, chemical oxidation)
  • Analyzing data;
  • Preparing and reviewing technical reports;
  • Environmental Compliance, Preparing Phase I and SPCC Plans.
  • Supervision of staff
  • Preparing cost estimates and budgets for potential clients.

The selected candidate will be responsible for: task and project management, preparing technical reports, preparing cost estimates and budget tracking, development and oversight of field sampling and field procedures, supervision of soil and groundwater investigations, feasibility studies, remediation design, business development, and assistance in staff development in technical areas.

Position requires BS in geology, hydrogeology, or engineering, although qualified candidates with degrees in other environmental disciplines may be considered based upon applicable professional experience. Strong writing and communication skills are essential. Completion of 40-hour OSHA training for work on hazardous waste sites desired.

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years environmental consulting experience with at least one year of managing projects. California Professional Geologist or Professional Civil Engineer certification is a bonus. Relevant experience in other environmental sciences will be considered.

Staff Geologist
Our corporate office in Gold River, CA is seeking a Staff Geologist to join our consulting firm in the Sacramento area. In this role, you will work closely with project managers on a variety of environmental projects. We are seeking a full-time hire who is detail-oriented and self-motivated. Responsibilities include:

  • Perform tasks and project assignments associated with environmental assessments, hydrogeological studies, subsurface investigations and remedial designs, and monitoring projects; 
  • All manner of field work, including soil and groundwater sample collection and sample preparation for laboratory analysis;
  • Project deliverables including the preparation of soil boring logs, well construction diagrams, potentiometric surface maps, geologic cross sections, site sample and plume maps, work plans and reports;
  • Working collaboratively with project management and field staff;
  • Laboratory and hydrogeologic data management;
  • Permit management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in geology, engineering or science-related field.
  • 0-3 years of environmental geology experience
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (preferred)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and troubleshooting/problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties. 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
